tool roll
I am trying to make up an original type tool kit. I have managed to locate a few items, but if anyone has any of the originals tools they want to sell please pm me.
Now to the subject, has anyone got an original tool roll that they could measure with all the angles etc.
I have just got a copy of a tool roll complete with all the angles and measurements, but its for a pinzgauer.

Re: tool roll
Good idea. When you get it completed (or even near), could you please post images and details here?

Re: tool roll
Is this of any use to anyone
Here is a copy of the Pinzgauer tool roll holder that I mentioned. I was also given the measurements for the Tommy bar page 30/95 no15
The tommy bar is 10mm dia round bar, 250mm long with a 70mm portion turned down to 7mm then zinc plated.

Re: tool roll
My tool roll is a leather roll of similar size to the tool roll you listed but it is held together by a integral belt and buckle where the pic has ties. So I guess mine is not correct.

Re: tool roll
That looks like an early toolkit - the components are listed in the last few pages on the parts manual (in the accessories section).
However at some stage it must have changed as the user manual which covers later models has a pic of a hydraulic jack being used in the changing a tyre instructions.
So before chasing up components research which tool kit is appropriate for your 68 model - not an easy task I suspect.

Re: tool roll
I have the jack as shown in the line drawing; the top flange is shaped / curved to marry up with the underside of the drive shaft.

Re: tool roll
Thank you,
This site is easier to search for things than facebook. So although facebook has the advantage on seed of reply probably, any real info that gets put up tends to disappear quite quickly.
