Ohh that's a shame. I would have shipped them over for my trailer!

Yeah I have thought about using maloyas but they don't look correct on the Oz haffi.

I think I still have 2 left. One is still on my spare rim and the other is just sitting in the shed. I think the cost to ship them and replace the spare with a maloya would not be cost affective. But if you have to have them Ill ship them for the price of shipping and a spare replacement.

Ya know know that I think about it I may have 2 other ones that have 95% tread left but have snow studes in them.
If interested I can look and make sure they are Semperit and not just a set of knock offs that look like them.

Where the HELL are you getting all these tires from!?!?

US market has me looking at Geo Metro Generals or grey market 145R12 Yokos.

I bet they are all old stock and if they had moulding dates on them, they would all be from the 1970's !!! OK, maybe the 1980's....

From what I can tell, that German site wants you to phone them.

Why the heavy Semprit's ? They are as bad as the Maloya's for rolling effort. I see a fair share of Haflingers for repairs and pushing one with those tires takes twice the effort as a street or snow tire. That stated, I have personally seen(in the US) newer 165 12 Maloyas recently available. Out here, Leonardo Castiglione ( [email protected] )brings in parts from Austria a few times a year. Maybe he can help you locate what you are looking for.

Non-DOT (Department of Transportation) certified tires bound for road use are not legal to import into the USA. They used to be lenient, but since China started to flood the US market with cheap and terrible tires with questionable certification, the USA has some sort of statutory embargo on the importation of "grey market" tires.

I have heard stories of tires being shipped from Europe or Asia and bring denied entry at port or arriving on a palate, cut crossways with a demolition saw.

I have found some suppliers of 145R12 Yokohama Y828s in the USA (grey market) that are illegal vehicles in most states, as most vehicle inspection rules require DOT certification for the 4 tires.
