For sale MK1 1963 Haflinger with NO ENGINE!
For its age the bodywork of this vehicle is in great condition. The previous owner told me the engine blew up early in the vehicles history (in the late 70s) and a VW conversion was attempted with no success (hence the strange back). It was subsequently stored and forgotten about.
The body is very straight, whatever rust is in the images is surface rust. The tray and front footwells are solid (the rear are a bit scabby but not rusted out). It has had a replacement CV joint which cost a bit (the previous owner told me). There are a lot of salvageable parts on this vehicle and it has done very few KMS (under 10,000 miles) so the drivetrain will not be worn out. It would make a great donor for anyone doing up a MK 1. I even considered an electric conversion!!
I have moved and I no longer have room or the time (or money) so I am selling it. I paid AUD $2000 for it and I towed it back a long way and would like to get my money back.
Give me a PM if you are interested. I thought I would put it up here before I advertise elsewhere.
