Re: Tail Board
David,
you are really doing a great restoration job! It appears you want to come very close to the original, which I personally like.
When do you post some pictures of the whole vehicle? Maybe you can do a quick "roll-out" from the garage this weekend?
Kind regards,
Constantin

Re: Tail Board
I picked the side boards up from the guy that has done the pressings on the side boards today, I have taken them back to the sheet metal fabricators to finish everything off ,he has made a very good job with the pressings .He gave me the press parts as he had no further use for them. I will post a photo of the sides when I get them

Re: Tail Board
Hi David,
It's very handy to have those press dies. Is there any chance of getting a CAD drawing with dimensions for the die set posted on this forum?
Cheers,
Steve

Re: Tail Board
Wow, well done! Looks like the original.
Re: Tail Board
Did anyone ever get any dimensions for those dies?
If so, could you please post them up? Right now I'm welding up a tube style sideboard and tailboard set, but I still want to make some repro boards that look correct, at some time in the future.

Re: Tail Board
Sorry for the delay in posting the sizes of the plates for the side boards pressings. I dont know how to do a cad drawing, so I hope the photos will be ok.

Re: Tail Board
Dave can you knock up a set of long side boards and tail gate for a SWB haffy and send them down to me in Canberra - painted in gloss beige would be good and before Easter would be real good .
Thanks
Garry
