All the issues I have posted about in various threads still exist but do not seem to be getting worse and are not stoppers at the moment.
Issues include:
Poor fuel consumption - 18mpg
Low compression on one cylinder,
Tuning issues - originally rich, now popping from the exhaust at idle and hesitation at times (all after a tune-up)
Rust prevention
Clutch release bearing noise
Bearing noise in the drivetrain
Oil leaks from the swing arm fulcrums
Brakes momentarily staying on when applied.
Drafty cabin with doors on.
4th gear too low, resulting to have to hang onto 5th too long when going up steep hills.
Despite these minor issues she starts first go with a few hiccups when cold and will happily cruise on the freeway at 70kph and just over 4000rpm so not pushing it. I do not have a governor but the engine never gets to the redline when in 4th or 5th.
Hmmmm - it is a pleasure to drive? - to be honest no

However it does have a certain charm and the kids at Maccas where I get my coffee know it well.
It will be good when the bearing noise issues really starts to show itself as it will mean pulling things apart and dropping the engine when I will then find the source of the low compression.
Anyway the first major 1000km milestone has been passed without major pain.
