Mine develops 15kw at the back wheels at 3800RPM - so power at max rpm (where is makes max power) would be somewhere about 21kw at the back wheels.
Mine is easy to push downhill, harder on the flat and not really an option uphill.

Garry, presumably that is with a Zenith carb and the higher rpm governor. Mine lacks both of those features

I believe that the early Hafs were limited to 4,500 rpm, and the later ones 4,800 rpm.

I think it is the same governor, just with different settings. I.e . you can wind the two screws in on the side weights and increase the RPM at which it starts to move the choke plate. Explained in the repair manual somewhere as I did that to mine to get another 1 ~ 1.5 MPH out of it!
Lurch is like Gary's, easy to push down hill, not so easy on the flat, and doesn't do uphill without more help!

With the road tyres on at about 25psi I can easily push mine with one hand along my garage floor. If I lean against the back of it, it starts to move - it's a nice change having a vehicle that can be easily manouvered!heinkeljb wrote:I would like to know how hard (how much effort) it is for you to push your Haflinger along when it is in neutral.
I can still push it by hand if I have my off-road tyres on but it takes a bit more effort.
Something to watch for - make sure that your brake shoes are set-up such that there's no rubbing.
