Mark, love the photo's. The Plastic water jerry can next to the dog, brings back memories. I've had one of them for 25 odd years that I got off you yanks on a joint exercise when I was in the Australian Army. The large screw cap allows for access to hide your cans of beer. Danny

Re: My first born!
Just as well it was dry, I doubt you would have made it if there had been water flowing through there!
Out of interest, what sort / size tyres / rims do you have on the Haf?
If it was a Pinz Treffen, how did the haf get there? on a trailer behind a Pinz? Need more photos!

Re: My first born!
Towed it to our meeting/camping site near Quartzite behind our M-home. Wheels are from a Yamaha side by side using wheel adapters. The wheels are vary common and reasonable out here. Tires are knock-offs of Bighorns,12x7x25,very grippy, good offset, very stable compared to my other Hafs pizza cutter skid steer tires!

Mark, where did you get the wheel adapters or were they custom made?

Re: My first born!
It's been so long. I just Googled custom wheel adapters and came up with a couple of companys. I gave before and after bolt patterns and they did the rest. Around 175.00 USD. Never had any regrets.

Re: My first born!
I have investigated using UTV wheels and tyres when offroad - as the nearest wheel stud pattern in the UTV wheels is 110pcd and the Haflinger is 98pcd I have been looking at adaptors - I think that if you do not want to modify the Haflinger wheel studs, the adaptors need to be 1" thick.
Here are two sellers that I came across.

Although I don't have a Haflinger, I do have some books that could be of interest to someone.
A Type 700 maintenance manual, a spare parts catalogue, and some sales leaflets.

Re: My first born!
If I don't find a home for these items, I may have to do something drastic...such as buy a Haflinger.

Hi Greg - and welcome to the Forum.gmackie wrote:If I don't find a home for these items, I may have to do something drastic...such as buy a Haflinger.
You tagged your post about the items you have on the back of an unrelated thread in Show and Tell so you may not get the visibility you need.
Try starting a new Thread in the For Sale section and/or a dedicated Thread in the Documentation Section - I see you have highlighted your Show and Tell post in the Documentation Section but is also on the back of another thread so may not get the visibility you need.
Cheers
Garry

Hi Garry,
The reason for not putting there items in the 'For Sale' section is simple...they are FREE ! I just want them to go to the 'right person', however if they are not worth having, they will probably get chucked out with all the other 'worthless' stuff, when I fall off the perch.

Yes,the past 3 years, including the "mud"event! The Haffy is a natural in mud,I stuttled families around that were having a hard time crossing the muddy road. They said what do we owe you,I said beer is good! Came back to camp later to many beers on the table,I was told there were more, but my campmates got them first!

Re: My first born!
Hey Greg,
Good on you for the offer. Your post would have to be the best of 2016. "They are not under the For Sale banner because they are FREE " That is a classic. Well done that man !!!!!!!
My suggestion would be to hang onto the paper work and buy a Haffie. I find mine to be the most difficult and frustrating collection of mechanical components which are stuck together to form a machine, that I have ever worked on, but at the same time a lot of fun and extremely satisfying when you have some success, and I haven't even driven mine yet.
Regards Rick.

I was the guy with the Fuso FG with the black flatbed, we talked for a bit. I'll be at the Overland Expo again this year, maybe bring the haf, maybe not. It's quite a different venue than the last few years, space might be an issue, and if I drag the Haffy along it'll be on a trailer.
I'll bring a case of Stone this time.

Re: My first born!
Mark - How tall are you? I have a set of seats like that, but im already too tall at 6' for the stock seats. I also love the top setup you created!
Re: My first born!
I'm 5'7" The top is just shade cloth and pvc sprinkler pipe. Light and reminded me of tinker toys! It could easily be made taller. seat is only an inch different in height than original, the comfort is much improved!
