Re: Doing some late night work on my jeep
To add to the fun, calculate the ratio of the Jeep's rolling tire diameter to its lowest ground clearance under the front and rear differentials. Then the ratio of the Haflinger's tire diameter to the ground clearances under the front skid plate and tubular rear engine/transaxle guard.
Take care.

Re: Doing some late night work on my jeep
G,,day . my comments on the amount of maintainence / repairs etc .
we are talking about an old vehicle ,often poorly serviced during its life.
the well serviced ones that i had a lot to do with were not difficult or required anything out of the ordinary
go and try any other 30 plus year old vehicle that has been abused and not looked after
as to being hard to work on , i disagree , correct tools work .
try working on a modern computer controlled car or 4WD with out the correct computer , and a lot of special tools .
including in some cases a clean room for assembly .
diesels that if they are run out of fuel , destroy the injector pump because of no lubrication .
i will end this with
the most expensive Haflinger you can buy is the cheapest at first
kerry
