Re: Haflinger "Pathfinder" Lucas reflector.
Like I said, the L841 was used on many vehicles. Buy any one you can, and buy a new rubber plinth... flat one, MG Midget. The rubber will be dried out anyway.

Re: What did you do with your Haflinger today?
It sounds like it would take more than a simple fuse to rectify the problem of high coil resistance. Designing a circuit to allow operation of the unit across a large and variable range would be pretty tough..

Re: Source for black plastic bumper end plugs?
The are the Haflinger Technik units fitting ok? I had one person tell me they were too narrow and slipped out when the vehicle went over a bump.

Source for black plastic bumper end plugs?
I have been told by Matthias Prokschi that the plastic end-plugs for the Haflinger bumpers are not available.
Does anyone have experience with any other vendors products for fit/finish?

Removal of dif-lock retaining "rings"
I am trying to get these lock-rings off, but just can't figure it out. I see that they rotate. The 3 pins stop their rotation. The pins do press inwards. I surmise that you push in the pins and twist.. But HOW. Pushing in all 3 pins AND twisting at once has me baffled. Please help. ImageUploadedByTa...

Is "discombobulated" not a common Australian usage?

The things obviously damaged or missing + things that will need replacing before the vehicle is considered being roadworthy are pretty huge. New Dynastarter..complete engine tin, governor, carb.. Cha-Ching!

Re: Paint code for the Red common on NA Spec Haflingers
RAL 3000 is a "bear" of a color. I've spent some time in our PPG software trying to find comps, but there are SO MANY variants. It's probably due to pigment fade at the time the different variants were logged.
There is no exact.

Re: Paint code for the Red common on NA Spec Haflingers
Isn't it RAL 3000? I know you know this, but for posterity I'll say that the red pigment in paint is so UV unstable that any paint will be markedly "off" from what is on the body. I suggest taking it to a local paintshop with a camera, who can get a "close enough" color that you ...

Coil replacement question..
I notice that the Bosch database lists their "Blue Coil" as the currently available direct replacement for the Haflinger.
Has anyone specifically used a blue on their Hafi? I put them on VW motors years ago, by I'm not sure of any pitfalls with the charging system.

If the restoration is good, and the advertising is wide, I think you could.. Ebay just had the '64 SWB go for $16000.

Rubber "cow mat" or "horse stall" mat. Purchase a big one from a farm store, and trim to fit. You can take it up when you are done, and hose it off for cleaning. 4x6 foot ones cost under $40 USD in my area. Here is a Mule with trimmed mats.. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1424827552.0668...

Re: Another Aussie Haffy
I am actually quite surprised that the Aussie/Taz Haflingers are not being purchased by folks in Europe and shipped back "Home." The desire for ownership in EU countries has seemed really strong lately, and the prices that German/Swiss/Austrian/Italian Haflingers have sold for in the last ...

Re: Looking for a few more assemblies..
Hi Steve, Yeah.. I hear what you are saying. I know the 3 bits I listed are 3 of the 4 most prone to corrosion (the 4the being the rear body cross-spar that the engine access door connects to) but I figured I'd give it a try before I start putting the rest of my truck's body into repair. Making new ...
